This safari will take you through various rural setting while venturing the nature gifted endowed to the pearl of Africa. The safari starts from the international drive to destinations of Savannah and wildlife’s-they include Lake Mburo, queen, Africa’s “Switzerland”, home of endangered mountain gorillas where life memorable gorilla tracking experience is attained, Semliki with unique night and day game drives, visit chimps at Kibale, visit the hub of wildlife (Murchison park) and also enjoy the excursions in Kampala the capital city which acquired the from the Impala which are only found in Lake Mburo national park and Jinja town once Uganda’s industrial hub.
Day1: Entebbe – Lake Mburo National Park
Today after your breakfast from your hotel of residence, you will meet our Driver-guide. Thereafter transfer to south-western Uganda via Masaka – Mbarara highway, stopover at the Equator for snacks and photo taking. Then drive through Savannah and scattered bush country, enter Lake Mburo with en-route game drive to spot some big five and other animals like Lions, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Elephants and Rhinos-Bush backs, water bucks, warthogs, Uganda kobs among others respectively. See a variety of bird species as you enjoy evening boat cruise. More activities like foot safaris, cycling; community visits will be enjoyed the following day. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge/Rwakobo Rock Lodge. Meal plan: Half-Board.
Day2: Lake Mburo National Park – Lake Bunyonyi
After your morning breakfast, take game drive in Lake Mburo, return to lodge for Lunch. Thereafter drive through the mountainous and heavily terraced area of Kigezi, the knowned “Switzerland of Africa”. Stop at beautiful “Lake of Little Birds”-Lake Bunyonyi. Evening proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable. The evergreen forests which habit the most endangered primates with combined excellent service for relaxing after the adventurous tours. Dinner and Overnight at Mahogany springs Lodge/Rushaga Gorilla Camp/Gorilla Valley Lodge. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day3: Uganda Gorilla Trekking Experience
Early morning your guides will brief you before you head towards the dense forest on your search for gorillas and an intimate interaction with these gentle and endangered animals. The forest also affords viewing other primates including blue monkeys, L’ Hoest monkeys, red tailed monkeys and chimpanzee, along with a variety of bird life. The time spent trekking in this unspoiled tropical forest and watching the gorillas is certainly worth the effort. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day4: Bwindi – Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast embark our safari vehicle, depart to queen via the Ishasha sector and expect to see the African tree climbing lions. View the amazing contrast in scenery as you move from dense forest to open grasslands dotted with flat-topped acacia and primeval euphorbia trees. This part of the Park is also known for large herds of buffalo and kobs. Turn your eyes and view the well ranged canoes of Mountain Rwenzori. Dinner and overnight at Kyambura Gorge Lodge/Elephant Plains Lodge/Bush Lodge. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Dawn excitement game drive. Then visit the volcanic area of Queen Elizabeth National Park with its many salt lakes and extinct craters. Return to lodge for lunch and breakfast and then in evening prepare for cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which joins Lakes George and Edward. From the comfort of your boat you can watch for elephant and other game on the shore. Hippopotamus, crocodiles and water birds can be seen along the banks. Return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Day6: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Semliki National Park
Early morning departure for exploration of Semliki National Park and Sempaya Hot Spring. This area is largely untouched by man. As an extension of the vast forest of the Congo, several species of birds and animals are unique to this park. Dinner and Overnight at Semliki Safari Lodge/Ntoroko Game Lodge. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day7: Semliki National Park
Spend the morning exploring the lush forest filled with primates and birds, game drive both day and night. After lunch search for chimpanzee and other primates, visit the communities that are the Batwa and Bakonjo. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day8: Semliki National Park – Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast embark the safari van and depart to Kibale Forest. This mature hardwood forest harbours 11 species of primates and a variety of birds and butterflies. Lunch en-route and if the afternoon is free go for short hikes and exploring the surroundings. Dinner and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge/Primate Cottages/Kibale Forest Camp. Meal Plan: Full-Board.
Day9: Kibale Forest National Park (Chimpanzee Trek & Bigodi Walk)
Early morning visit to Kibale Forest for chimpanzee trekking (persons must be of a minimum age of 15 years). The forest is also home to other primates like grey cheeked mangabeys, baboons and vervet monkeys. Picnic lunch at Bigodi Forest Camp. In the afternoon, walk through the swamps to see birds and primates at close range. Return to lodge for Dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day 10: Kibale – Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast depart for Murchison Falls N. P. through the village towns of Kagadi and Hoima with lunch en-route. Visit the top of Murchison Falls, late afternoon and then proceed to Murchison River Lodge, which is centrally located in the Park. With its picturesque setting and reputation for good service the lodge is a perfect base for your last two nights of safari. Dinner and overnight at Nile Safari Lodge/Pakuba Safari Lodge/Murchison River Lodge/Fort Murchison Camp. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day11: Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast embark our vehicle and cross the Nile for dawn game drive on the northern bank of the river. Animals frequently spotted here include Uganda kobs, harte beests, elephants, Roth child’s giraffe, Cape buffalo, topi and lion. After lunch at the Lodge, relax by the pool or experience nature close-up on a forest walk with a ranger guide. End the day with visit to the top of the falls and you will experience and get an answer to Uganda pearl of Africa and Gifted by nature. Return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day12: Murchison Falls National Park – Kampala – Entebbe
Depart Murchison Falls through Masindi. With lunch en-route, see traditional homesteads and farms en-route. Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to go see the last of the African Big Five game (the only wild rhinos to be viewed in Uganda. The sanctuary is breeding a new rhino population after they became extinct in the early 1980’s). Go for a game drive with a guide to track the critically endangered rhinoceros in pristine bush country. The 70 km. square sanctuary, of wooded grassland and open wetland, is also home for many bird species including crowned horn bills, grey horn bills and more! Arrive in Kampala early evening and drive to Entebbe at Karibu Guest House/Papyrus Guest House/Lake Victoria Guest House for overnight stay. Meal plan: Half-Board.
Day13,14 &15: Visit Kalangala Uganda Beach Holiday overnight stay at Brovad Sands Lodge/Mirembe Resort Hotel/Pearl Gardens Hotel. Meal Plan: F/B
