3 Day Uganda Chimpanzee

The 3 days visit to Kibale forest to trek the chimpanzees closest relatives of human beings, excitement is a guarantee while in this forest trekking these primates in their mist more so swinging in the tree branches. Apart from spotting the chimps the forest offers more primates, bird life and plant species. Children at this park are kept busy with children sports activities like pond dipping, cyanotype, photography and batik making. while on this trip you will have time to visit the Nyakasura stunning Caves, water falls and the interesting Crater Lakes.

Day1: Entebbe/Kampala – Kibale Forest National Park

Today after your breakfast from your Hotel at Entebbe or Kampala capital city of Uganda, meet with our professional driver-guide. Thereafter transfer to Kibale forest in western Uganda via Mubende – Fort portal high way. Lunch at Mountain of the moon and after this evening the Bigodi Women’s Group will take you on a fascinating boardwalk trail through the papyrus swamp of the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at Kyaninga Lodge, Kibale Primate Lodge, Kibale Forest Camp. Meal plan: Half-Board

Day2: Chimpanzee Trekking – Caves and Crater Lakes

Take an early breakfast before your chimpanzee trekking adventure in the forest, the half day trekking experience is much stunning. As you search for Kibale chimpanzees, keep an eye out for other primates such as grey-cheeked mangabeys along with L’Hoest, red Columbus, red-tailed and blue monkeys. Your expert guide will share the secrets of the forest’s flora and fauna, ensuring that the trail is both informative and enjoyable. Evening visit to the magical stalagmites and stalactites caves and experience the legendary tale explained by the site guide and amazing Crater Lakes, trek the hills and you view the stunning arranged ice cones of Mountain Rwenzori. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board

Day3: Cultural Tour – Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast, meet a guide from Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental Development (KAFRED) who will take you for a fascinating cultural tour of the Bigodi homesteads, where you will observe the preparation of food and learn traditional weaving techniques with Bigodi Women’s Group. After drive back to Kampala for your dinner and overnight or Entebbe airport to board your flight back home. End of services, Meal plan: Half-Board

Note: One whole day amazing activity “Chimpanzee habituation” can be organized if requested for and at this park children are catered for, as parents trek the chimp’s children are involved in pond dipping, cyanotype, photography and batik making.
