The safari takes you through the winding natures and local home steads of western region. The safari starts from Entebbe/Kampala – Kibale Forest, a tropical rain forest with Chimpanzees and other 12 primates, over 340 species of Birds, 27 species of Frogs and toads and 14 species of snakes. From this forest you will trek the noisy chimpanzee families while from the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, you will have a nature walk spotting a number of birds including Blue Turaco, Black casques horn bills, Black and White Horn bills, Yellow Backed Weavers, Wagtails, Cuckoos, Woodland Kingfishers, Flycatchers, Manikins. And on this safari you will be able to reach some amazing cultural and historical sites like the Amabeere – ga – nyinamwiru, the Karambi tombs and much more.
Day1: Entebbe/Kampala – Kibale Forest National Park
Today after your breakfast from your hotel of residence, meet our professional driver-guide and exchange greetings. Then transfer to western Uganda via Mityana and Mubende highway. A stopover at the Tanda village and Nakayima tree believed to be strong ancestor to some communities of Uganda. Lunch en-route at the Mountain of the moon. Dinner and overnight at Kibale Primate Cottages/Kibale Forest Camp/Chimpanzee Guest House. Meal plan: Half-Board.
Day2: Kibale Forest National Park(Chimpanzee Trek & Bigodi Walk)
After breakfast, prepare for briefing and then proceed to the moist tropical rain forest for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park. Uganda apes, the forest is known for harboring the largest number of primates. The search for chimpanzees may reward you with other primates such as the grey Mangabeys, pottos, Columbus monkeys, bush babies, baboons and many more. Some requirements are vital to carry along which include: rain gears, insect repellent, sun screen, hut, walkable shoes, snacks among others that one would need once in tropical rain forest where weather can change any time. Return to lodge for lunch, in the afternoon take a walk to the Bigodi Wetland to spot unique bird life, flora and fauna like rare shoe bill stork, white and black Columbus, sitatungas in this area. Return to lodge for Dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day3: Visit Amabeere Ga Nyinamwiru (Stalagmites and staltimites)
Early morning breakfast, after embark our safari truck and depart to Amabeere Nyinamwiru and come closer face to face with stalactites and stalagmites to experience its legendary tale. Take a breath of air walk around the vegetation, trek the hills and take some breathtaking pictures before you go back to the lodge to enjoy your lunch. Visit to the Karambi tombs and after driver back Kampala. Dinner and overnight at Karibu Guest House/Papyrus Guest House/Lake Victoria Guest House. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day4: Entebbe – Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary
Early morning breakfast, after transfer to Entebbe water front club and board a speed boat boat to Ngamba chimpanzee sanctuary for chimp feeding and birding at the shores of the Lake, participate in donating for your name to be pinned on one of notice boards to be remembered for your conservation effort to these chimps. Return to Entebbe and transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
