Kenya Uganda Safari – 08 Day Mara Gorilla Trek

This 08 Day Kenya Uganda Safari will take you to Maasai Mara National Reserve and Bwindi Forest National Park and encounter great wildebeest migration and other African wildlife animals in Mara, Kenya and gorilla trekking tours in Uganda.

Day1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara National Park 

Have breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi and after embark the safari vehicle and transfer to Maasai Mara National Park with en-route visit to the Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking and upon arrival check-in at Loyk Mara Camp for lunch and after in the evening go for an evening photographic game drive looking for African wildlife species like lions, elephants, leopards, wildebeests among others. Dinner and overnight at Loyk Mara Camp. Meal plan: H/B

Day2: Full Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara National Reserve 

After breakfast with picnic lunch, you spend full day game viewing with a visit to the Mara River where there is concentration of a lot of animals. You will have your picnic lunch as you watch the crocodiles, hippos and other animals living in water. This day you will have the option of going to visit the Maasai villages and tourists pay $25 dollars extra. All meals and overnight stay at your Loyk Mara Camp. Meal plan: F/B

Day3: Full Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara National Reserve 

After breakfast with picnic lunch, you spend full day game viewing with a visit to the Mara River where there is concentration of a lot of animals. You will have your picnic lunch as you watch the crocodiles, hippos and other animals living in water. This day you will have the option of going to visit the Maasai villages. All meals and overnight stay at your Loyk Mara Camp. Meal plan: F/B 

Day4: Maasai Mara National Reserve – Entebbe 

Have breakfast and after transfer to Mara Olekiombo Airstrip to board the Air Kenya Express at 08:45 AM fly to Entebbe International Airport in Uganda via the Kisumu for immigration and then proceed to the airport where you will arrive at 11:30 AM and you will be picked up from the airport and transfer to the start point cruising to the Ngamba Islands Chimpanzee Sanctuary where you will experience the view of the orphaned chimps and the boat takes like 45 minutes cruise to the sanctuary and upon arrival view the chimps and thereafter have lunch at the sanctuary and after return back to Entebbe. Dinner and overnight at Karibu Guest House. Meal plan: H/B – No Dinner

Day5: Entebbe – Bwindi Forest National Park 

Have breakfast and after embark the safari jeep and transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park with lunch en-route at Igongo Restaurant, Mbarara. After continue to the park which habits half of the mountain gorillas in the world. Dinner and overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Camp. Meal plan: F/B

Day6: Gorilla Trekking Experience – Lake Bunyonyi 

Early morning breakfast and after transfer to the starting point of the gorilla trekking experience in the mist. Take briefing from the park head ranger and after you will be allocated to a certain gorilla family and then in a group of 08 members enter into the jungle to see the mountain gorillas. It is one hour allowed to stay with the great apes to take photos and videos. After return to the park offices for your gorilla trekking certificate. Lunch and after transfer to Lake Bunyonyi staying at the Arcadia Cottages for refreshment as you wait for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: F/B

Day7: Lake Bunyonyi – Entebbe  

Have breakfast and after go for boat cruise along the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi visiting various dotted islands and after embark the safari jeep and transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route. Overnight stay at Karibu Guest House. Meal plan: H/B – No Dinner

Day8: Entebbe – Departure 

Have breakfast and after drive back to Entebbe Airport for your flight to Nairobi. End of services!
