Apoka Safari Lodge

Apoka Safari Lodge is found in Kidepo Valley National Park, Northern Uganda Access from Entebbe: Scheduled or charter flight (2hrs) | drive (12 hrs.) Kidepo is remote Africa the way you imagine it: the jagged hills, the golden grasses, and the best game viewing in Uganda.

The rooms at Apoka have been built with comfort in mind. Everything is handmade by local craftsmen; everything is large and capacious. 10 expansive rooms with natural canvas walls surround a rocky kopje with endless views across the Savannah. With inside sitting rooms and private verandas there are plenty of places to relax, read and sprawl.

Big hand – hewn beds with soft duvets are draped with mosquito nets, hand-woven woolen carpets, extra-large plush towels, over-sized dressing gowns…you may be as far away from the city as you’ll ever be, but you won’t miss a thing.

Apoka is the only place to recommend due to location and luxury. The main building is of wooden construction and open sided.  The large squishy comfortable chairs are perfect to sink into to relax at the end of a long day’s game driving to have a drink and review the fabulous pictures you would have captured.
