The safari takes you through the beauty of central-western Uganda like the equator.
The safari starts from Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with a mix of savannah grass land and tropical rain forest habiting primates and birds.
From this park’s forest like Kyambura gorge you will track the noisy chimpanzee families, you will have a nature walk characterized by a number of birds including Blue Turaco, Black casques horn bills, Black and White Horn bills, Yellow Backed Weavers, Wagtails, Cuckoos, Woodland Kingfishers, Flycatchers, Manikins. More famous activities like boat cruise, game drives are awesome.
Day 1: Entebbe – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be met by our guide or company representative and exchange happiness to each other.
Thereafter transfer via Masaka – Mbarara high way with stopover to the equator for snacks and photo shooting and then have your en-route lunch at Igongo cultural centre with diversity of Ankole norms or Mbarara town at Agip motel or Regency hotel.
Then continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, as you go take en-route view to different animals like Ankole long horned cattle’s, view banana plantations and other green covers at large. In entering the park spot wildlife which includes elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and leopards.
Take an afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel the spot with the largest concentration of Hippos in Africa as well as a number of birds including migrant birds.
Dinner and overnight at Jacana Safari Lodge, Mweya Safari Lodge or Katara lodge (High end), Simba safari lodge or Ihamba Safari Lodge (Mid-range end) or Mweya Hostel (Low end facility). Meal plan: Half-Board.
Day2: Game Drive & Boat Ride in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Dawn game drive with an opportunity to view early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. These experiences takes 2-3 hours drive and thereafter return to your lodge for refreshment, breakfast and lunch.
Then take an excursion to Maramagambo Forest for a Nature walk along trails from where you will see the Bat caves and the Blue Lake.
Through this forest you may see different primate species, colorful butterflies and a host of forest bird species endemics to the Albertine rift.
In the evening, visit the Lake Katwe and experience salt mining activity with spectacular watch of the flamingos as the sun is setting off. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day3: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kampala
Early in the morning take another game viewing safari through the park. After breakfast, check out from the Safari Lodge and start off for Kampala. Arriving by late afternoon, our safari guide will drop you at your preferred next destination or at airport for your home flight.
