5 Day Visit Murchison Safari
The safari takes you through the villages of pearl of Africa.
The safari begins from Entebbe or Kampala to Murchison national park, chimp trekking at Kaniyo – Pabidi, stop overs at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, visit top of the falls, take en-route game drive to spot the big five and other wildlife and birds, take boat cruise and a lot can be experienced on this wildlife safaris which is organized by Uganda tours and travel a company with experts in tourism profession.
Among the animals and birds include Lions, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Elephants, bush backs, warthogs, Blue Turacos, Black casques horn bills, Black and White Horn bills, Yellow Backed Weavers, Wagtails, Cuckoos, Woodland Kingfishers, Flycatchers, Manikins respectively.
Day1: Entebbe – Murchison Falls National Park
Upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be met by our guide. Then transfer to North-west through famous Luwero Triangle and Masindi Town to Murchison Falls National Park.
En-route lunch at Masindi hotel or New courts hotel and then proceed to the top of the falls where you can see the Nile’s beauty perfected! Marvel at the Nile, compressing from 50 meters to squeeze through a 6-meter canyon dropping 40 meters with a thunderous roar.
Dinner and overnight at Para Safari Lodge, Murchison River Lodge, Fort Murchison Camp. Meal plan: Half-Board.
Day2: Murchison Falls National Park (Game Drive & Boat Ride)
Dawn game drive via the Nyamsika plateau, enjoy the view and you may see some of the big five like (elephant, lion, buffalo and giraffe), warthogs, bush back, water buck, hartebeests and many more.
Return to lodge for refreshment, breakfast and lunch, then after prepare for a boat trip on placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the fall.
En route you will see hippos, crocodiles, water buck and a wide variety of birds like the unusual shoe bill stork pelican bee-eater, egret and heron.
The boat stops just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron”. Take pictures of the photogenic and majestic Murchison Falls. Return to Lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day3: Murchison Falls National Park (Game Drive & Boat Ride to Delta)
After morning cup of coffee go for another morning game drive to more animals and variety of bird species. Thereafter return to lodge for refreshment, breakfast and lunch.
Prepare for afternoon boat trip of the Victoria Nile Delta area into Lake Albert and this cruise variety of animals and bird life species can be observed, that is the crocodiles, Hippos, rare shoe bill stork, pelican bee-eater, egrets, vultures, ibis, wagtail among others respectively.
After drive to Budongo Eco Lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Full-Board.
Day4: Budongo Forest – Kampala
Early morning breakfast, after experience chimpanzee trekking in the forest with a knowledgeable guide. Budongo is also known for its many plant and bird species.
After all these life memory experiences embark our safari vehicle back to Kampala and arrive in late evening. Dinner and overnight at Lake Heights Hotel/Karibu Guest House. Meal plan: Half-Board.
Day5: Entebbe – Ngamba Islands Chimpanzee Sanctuary – Entebbe – Departure
After breakfast you will be transferred to Entebbe at water front club and board your speed boat or traditional motor boat to Ngamba chimpanzee sanctuary to indulge in quite big list of informative activities like chimp feeding, bird watching and you will have lunch at the island or if you need a night at this island instruct for proper arrangement.
Thereafter drive back Entebbe with free entrance to the Uganda wildlife education centre and watch some big five caged and other species, birds. Evening you will be transferred to airport for your home flight. End of services, Meal plan: Half-Board.
