We offer gorilla tours, chimpanzee and other primate safaris in Uganda and Rwanda.
Sites for gorilla safaris include the Bwindi Impenetrable Rain Forest National Park, situated in south-western Uganda, and home to roughly half of all mountain gorillas on the African continent.
The park covers about 200 square miles of extremely dense rain forest and is a proclaimed World Heritage site.
Part of the fun of tracking gorillas here is trying to follow them through the dense foliage. You can also get to see chimpanzees as well as some spectacular bird life.
Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is situated on the extreme southwest corner of Uganda on the slopes of the Virunga Mountains, bordering the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda.
The park only covers 28 square miles so it’s quite small, but besides gorillas you can also see leopard, buffalo, bush buck and golden monkeys.
This park is home to the Nyakagezi gorilla group, which is known as a trans-boundary group, largely because they move between Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Ugandan gorilla permits cost $700 USD. Rwanda gorilla trekking is $1500 all year, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, gorilla tours are $400 for all seasons.
